Getting a list from a database query always seems a hard way to work to me, finding and checking it in a map editor is fiddly and awkward, but each to his own.Chris Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02951528269028953589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179325926611299376.post-11250394391866636242012-07-13T13:04:07.750+01:002012-07-13T13:04:07.750+01:00I've tended to use the ITO maps to get the maj...I've tended to use the ITO maps to get the majority of the maxspeed coverage and then used either some searches in JOSM or some queries against a Postgres database of the data to find the last few. Usually it's just things like bridges or where a route briefly crosses a highway where I manage to miss off including the appropriate maxspeed tagging.Gregory Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05110902482857595778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179325926611299376.post-90671756115462270022012-07-02T11:04:17.958+01:002012-07-02T11:04:17.958+01:00Very helpful, thanks!Very helpful, thanks!Tomhttp://tom.acrewoods.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179325926611299376.post-85552918371398346992012-06-30T10:55:44.182+01:002012-06-30T10:55:44.182+01:00Thanks Matt,

They show beautifully the speed limits on roads, but I found it really hard to distinguish the roads that didn't have a maxspeed tag, which was my aim.

It was also an exercise on my part to try to work through extracting and displaying vector data. My previous efforts with vectors have been around displaying them for other people's data as an overlay for their specific web sites.Chris Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02951528269028953589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179325926611299376.post-39745839065061261042012-06-30T10:28:08.054+01:002012-06-30T10:28:08.054+01:00In addition to your map, don't forget to also ...In addition to your map, don't forget to also look at these few maps.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10219478478994544251noreply@blogger.com
