Open Data
I have been speaking to someone from a local council and they are keen to publish lots of data under an Open licence. Some of it is geo data and I'm interested in what benefit that might bring to OSM. I hope to have more to report soon.

Lots of benefits:
* Now that the road network is well mapped any data released under a free licence could act as a good research tool to find missing geo data.
* Can be used to add extra tags (e.g. I have seen opening hours on a public convenience data set).
* Public Rights of Way have to be on councils Definitive map by 2026. If not the route will be lost to history. We can work with local councils and ramblers groups to help out here.
